Frequently Asked Questions |
What is Marketing?
Marketing is the primary
tool used to increase sales and revenues. Marketing involves
researching and developing an understanding of customers
in order to deliver products and services to satisfy their
needs. A sound marketing strategy takes into consideration
all areas of your organization to maximize your profitability.
What is a Strategy?
A strategy is a plan of action. Successful strategies
must be implementable and address the needs of your market.
How do I Brand my
company?
Branding is one of many components of marketing. Creating
a brand or developing a stronger brand requires defining
your perceived value to your target market, as well as
creating consistency in the look, tone and feel of all
aspects of your company.
Aren’t Marketing
and Advertising the same thing?
No. Advertising deals more with the promotional aspects
of a product or service. Marketers help develop a product
or service; advertisers generally put a face on the marketing
concept.
What about the difference
between Sales and Marketing?
Sales and marketing work hand-in-hand. Without a sound
marketing strategy, sales easily can be impeded. Marketing
identifies new markets or develops a company’s competitive
advantage in tough times; it is the research and plan
behind achieving the sale.
Why should my products or services be revised or even
changed?
Times change and so do the needs of your client. Often,
even minor revisions in your product or service offering
can keep you competitive.
Business is slow and I cannot afford a Marketing professional.
If business is slow, that is exactly when you should focus
on developing a marketing plan to attract more business.
What is Organizational Development?
Organizational development is the practice of changing
people and organizations for positive growth.
When is the best
time to hold team building events?
Team building is both formal and informal. Informal activities,
such as establishing feedback loops, brown bag lunch sessions,
etc, can help strengthen your organization’s culture
and should take place throughout the year. Formal activities,
such as hiring MHJohnson & Associates to facilitate
targeted teaming sessions, are crucial to maintaining
the strength and competitive edge of your organization
but are not needed as often.
